Some R&R (half a day's worth)

Just spent a great afternoon with my parents yesterday in Port Jervis, NY, right on the New Jersey border. I got to eat at a nice restaurant and sleep in a nice bed. But today, it's back to the grind. I've got miles to hike and sights to see. I should be in New York soon.

Dad and I (yes, it's real):

Oh and here are the rocks I've been stepping over all this time:
These little ones go on for miles, but the bigger ones are less frequent, but more fun:

And this guy who thru-hiked in '07 stole my URL:

While you were frittering away your time in New Jersey getting facial hair massages, I was successfully defending my thesis. :)

Your progress on the map is inspiring; please strive on to Maine and restore humanity's collective faith in our ability to Conquer the earth.

Hey - I am at the mayor's with Spidey and No amp - and lots of others.

We think of you a lot - hope you are well.

Hope to see you up the trail.

BTW, you have to show us how to put that Google map on our blog.

long time so see my brother. Its Blaze - I'm hiking with a guy named Freebird. We are currently in Manchester Center, Vermont. Rains everyday. Taking a double zero - think the 1,637 miles have finally taken a toll on the mind and body. When here - try to stay at the brand new (opened last week) Green Mountain House - a hiker built a house for thru hikers and his kids to use for skiing. It rocks. Nice to see another "boy in a skirt". You can check me out at www.stinkykd.blogspot.com. Hope all is well and see you at the greatest mountain! Peace. Blaze.
